Areas of Support
I pride myself on my flexibility, and I'm happy to work with a diversity of clients and presenting concerns. That said, there are some areas where I have particular experience and interest.
Trauma & Complex Trauma
I support people living with the ongoing effects of difficult or overwhelming experiences, including relational trauma, complex trauma, and experiences that continue to affect your sense of safety, relationships, emotions, or connection with your body.
Trauma therapy doesn't have to mean repeatedly talking about everything that has happened to you. We can work at a pace that respects your capacity while developing greater choice and flexibility in how you respond to what you're experiencing.
Queer & Trans Mental Health
As a queer and non-binary practitioner, I'm committed to providing affirming care to 2SLGBTQIA+ folks.
I understand that seeking mental-health care can sometimes mean having to explain or defend aspects of your identity before you can even begin talking about what brought you there.
My intention is to create a space where you can bring your whole self—including your gender, sexuality, relationships, family, and community—without needing to make yourself smaller or more easily understood.
Anxiety, Stress & Emotional Overwhelm
Maybe your mind won't slow down. Maybe you're constantly anticipating what could go wrong, struggling to relax, or feeling overwhelmed by emotions that seem difficult to manage.
Together, we can explore both the emotional and physiological aspects of anxiety and stress, while developing practical and embodied ways of responding.
Reproductive & Perinatal Mental Health
The journey toward parenthood can hold enormous complexity.
I offer psychotherapy support around fertility challenges, fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, reproductive decision-making, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, family-building, and the transition to parenthood.
I also welcome the particular experiences of queer and trans people navigating fertility care, pregnancy, parenthood, and family-building.
You may be experiencing grief, hope, anxiety, anger, uncertainty, excitement, or all of these at once. Psychotherapy can provide space to make sense of what you're experiencing without having to simplify or minimize it.
Grief & Loss
Grief can follow the death of a loved one, but it can also accompany many other kinds of loss.
I offer support around bereavement, pregnancy and fertility loss, changes in relationships, loss of health or ability, ecological grief, and other forms of loss.
There is no single right way to grieve, and there is no timeline for feeling better.
Life Transitions
Sometimes life simply isn't looking the way you expected.
I support people navigating changes in relationships, family, identity, work, health, parenthood, and other significant life transitions.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what's happening, reconnect with what matters to you, and consider what you want your next chapter to look like.
